A conflict that started inside a bar in Kamëz has led to the suspension of two police officers, who are suspected of failing to act properly and not completing full procedural steps after the incident.
According to sources, an officer from the Rapid Intervention Forces (FNSH) was also involved in the incident. He was off duty and was having coffee with two other individuals.
At one point, several people entered the bar and got into a physical altercation with one of the individuals sitting at the table with the officer.
It is reported that the police officer intervened to stop the fight and separate the parties, while eyewitnesses immediately alerted the police about the incident.
The case was initially treated as a minor dispute, but during verification, procedural shortcomings were identified.
For this reason, two officers from the Kamëz Police Station have been suspended from duty until the full circumstances are clarified, as they are suspected of failing to carry out the necessary actions to identify all individuals involved in the conflict.
The case is also being handled by the Police Oversight Agency, while the investigative team is reviewing security camera footage to fully reconstruct the dynamics of the incident, which occurred on Monday evening.
