A jewelry store was broken into in the center of Pogradec; police are searching for two suspects

A theft attempt occurred during the night at a jewelry store in neighborhood no. 3 of Pogradec. Two masked individuals tried to force open the shop’s metal shutter.

Sources say they managed to lift the shutter enough to get inside and broke the glass of the main door. However, as they were about to enter, they noticed a police patrol approaching and managed to flee the scene.

Police are currently searching for the suspects and have seized footage from several nearby businesses in hopes of identifying them.

The incident took place on one of the main streets of Pogradec, “Kajo Karafili,” an area with dozens of businesses and jewelry shops. An official statement from local police is expected.
