A tropical storm hits Mexico, three people lose their lives

At least 3 people have lost their lives due to heavy rainfall caused by Tropical Storm "Alberto," which was active in Mexico. Due to the risk of tropical storms and flooding, officials from the state of Tamaulipas announced that classes have been suspended.
Authorities said that heavy rainfall in the country due to the storm could be a relief for the drought problem. Civil Defense officials in the state of Nuevo Leon reported that 3 people lost their lives as a result of heavy rainfall.
Nuevo Leon Governor Samuel Garcia said that classes were temporarily suspended and public transport services, including the metro, were temporarily halted in the Monterrey area.
"State of disaster" in the state of Texas
Texas Governor Greg Abbott declared a "state of disaster" in 51 counties due to the tropical storm expected to be effective in the state. He said that flooding caused by Tropical Storm "Alberto" could cause loss of life and property and that this situation "poses an imminent threat of disaster."
