A venue in the village of Bajzë where cocaine was being sold and gambling activities were organized has been uncovered.


The owner of the establishment, who had not registered the business with the competent authorities, was caught in the act and arrested.


Authorities seized doses of cocaine, 4 mobile phones, and 1 gambling machine from the premises, as well as alcoholic beverages suspected of being smuggled and an amount of money believed to have been obtained from illegal activities.


Specialists from the Section for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes and the Section for the Investigation of Narcotics, with the support of the Special Force “Shqiponja” of the Shkodër Local Police Directorate, as part of ongoing efforts to prevent and crack down on illegal activities, and based on operational information, organized and carried out the coded operation “Game Over.”


During the operation conducted last evening at a venue in the village of Bajzë, authorities found quantities of suspected cocaine, a gambling machine and mobile phones used for gambling, alcoholic beverages suspected of being smuggled, and sums of money believed to have been generated from illegal activities in this establishment. Verifications showed that the business was not registered with the competent authorities.


Following procedural actions, the owner of the venue, citizen G.P., 26 years old, resident of the village of Vukpalaj, was arrested in flagrante.


The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecution Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Shkodër for further actions.
