ACCIDENT / Driver hits a 49-year-old female pedestrian with a car

A road accident was recorded at around 06:15 on the Shishtavec–Kukës road axis, where a vehicle hit a pedestrian.

According to preliminary information, citizen G. N., 30 years old, while driving his vehicle, is suspected of having struck citizen Sh. N., 49 years old, a resident of Kukës, who was walking on foot.

As a result of the collision, the injured woman was transported to the hospital and is under medical care, while the driver of the vehicle was escorted to the premises of the Kukës Local Police Directorate for further procedural actions. Meanwhile, the investigative group is at the scene and is working to fully clarify the circumstances and causes of the accident.
