ACCIDENT / Police officer hospitalized after a car hits a Traffic Police motorcycle

A road accident occurred in the city of Durrës, where a Traffic Police motorcycle collided with a car driven by a woman identified by the initials J. D.

The incident took place around 10:35 a.m. on “Taulantia” Street, one of the city’s busiest roads.

Preliminary information indicates that the vehicle struck the Traffic Police motorcycle, which was being driven by officer E. M., who was on duty at the time of the accident.

As a result of the collision, the officer suffered minor injuries. He was immediately transported to the Durrës Regional Hospital for medical care and, fortunately, is not in life-threatening condition.

A criminal investigation team arrived at the scene and is working to clarify the full circumstances of the accident and determine the possible causes and responsibilities of the parties involved.
