An Albanian doctor in Canada has lost his life in a car accident.


The news was confirmed by the Embassy of Albania in Canada, with Ambassador Artemis Kosta Malo expressing condolences to the family of the deceased.


Agron Alija served as a doctor and Associate Professor at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry in London, Ontario.


“With deep sorrow, we received the shocking news of the untimely passing of Dr. Agron Alija. On behalf of the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Canada and in my personal name, I express my most sincere condolences to the family of Dr. Agron Alija for this irreplaceable loss.


Dr. Agron Alija was a prominent figure in the Albanian community in Canada, a dedicated professional in the field of medicine, and a noble-hearted man who contributed with love, dedication, and integrity in serving people and the community, especially in Hamilton and London, where he also served as a doctor and Associate Professor at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry in London, Ontario.


His loss leaves a great void not only for his family but also for all those who had the privilege to know and appreciate him. In these difficult moments, I express my full support and wish strength and patience to the family of Dr. Alija to cope with this loss. Rest in peace, Dr. Alija. Your memory will forever remain in our hearts and minds, with respect, gratitude, and deep longing for the noble man, the dedicated doctor, and the dear friend that you were,” wrote the Albanian ambassador.
