ACCIDENT/ Several people reportedly injured! Two rushed to hospital by ambulance

A serious accident occurred at a location known as “Pushimi i Shoferit” on the Lushnje–Fier highway.

A Volkswagen vehicle collided with a van transporting passengers toward southern Albania.

In an attempt to avoid the collision with the car, the van swerved and crashed into the highway’s metal barriers.

Several passengers in the van were injured in the impact, but only two of them were transported by ambulance to the hospital to receive medical treatment.

Police arrived at the scene to document the incident, determine the circumstances of the accident, and regulate traffic.

The “Pushimi i Shoferit” junction, although considered a “black spot” for road traffic that has been the scene of numerous accidents, has reportedly not undergone any improvements or safety measures by the Albanian road authorities.
