ACCIDENT EARLY IN THE MORNING / SUV and pickup truck collide, two people injured!

A road accident was recorded this Wednesday on the Fier–Lushnjë highway, near the Kolonjë roundabout, in the direction of Lushnjë.

According to preliminary information, an SUV crashed heavily into the rear of a pickup truck. As a result of the strong impact, the two people travelling in the SUV were injured and transported by ambulance to the Lushnjë Hospital.

Sources from the hospital said that the injured individuals are under medical care and, fortunately, are out of danger.

Traffic Police officers arrived at the scene and are carrying out the necessary procedures to document the accident and fully clarify the circumstances.

According to initial findings, excessive speed is suspected to have caused the crash, with the SUV reportedly striking the pickup truck from behind as it approached the roundabout.
