Alarm at a hospital in Greece: bag containing human bones found in the trash bin

A disturbing incident occurred Thursday morning at the General Hospital of Karditsa, when a bag containing human bones was found in a trash bin in the hospital’s outdoor yard.

Immediately after the discovery, Greek police and a prosecutor arrived at the scene to oversee the investigation and clarify the circumstances under which the bag was found, as well as how the bones ended up there.

Authorities were mobilized under the order of Greek Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis, aiming to clarify the incident as quickly as possible.

According to the latest information, preliminary police assessments indicate that the bones were placed in the trash bin around 09:00 a.m. and are suspected to have been taken from nearby cemetery grounds.
