The month of March brings back excitement for Albanian fans. A total of 12 matches are scheduled for all national teams, ranging from the Senior National Team to youth teams for both boys and girls, as well as the Futsal representative team.
The Senior National Team will return to action in March after nearly four months without a gathering. A new qualifying campaign for the 2026 World Cup, new opponents, thrilling away matches, and a homecoming are all on the agenda. Albania will face England on March 21 at “Wembley,” while on March 24, they will host Andorra at the “Arena Kombëtare” stadium in Tirana.
The U-21 national team also has two friendly matches scheduled this month. On March 21, the team led by Alban Bushi will face Greece at the “Serres Municipal” stadium, while four days later, they will play another away match against Luxembourg at the “Georges Woehlfart” stadium. These two friendlies are crucial for the U-21 squad and coaching staff in building and consolidating the team while identifying new talents.
The U-19 national team will also play two friendlies. Albania, coached by Julian Ahmataj, will take on North Macedonia on March 21 and 23. Both matches will be held at the “Skënderbeu” stadium.
On March 19, 22, and 25, Albania will host the second round of Group B6 matches for the UEFA European Championship “Albania 2025.” This group includes Albania, Azerbaijan, and Wales. Andrea Tedesco’s squad will face Azerbaijan on March 19 and will play against Wales on March 25.
The Futsal National Team will also return to action this month, with their next match against Kazakhstan taking place away on March 7.
Meanwhile, the U-17 Girls’ National Team will play their second-round matches of the UEFA European Championship in Andorra. Albania is part of Group B3, along with hosts Andorra, Israel, and Belarus. On March 4, the Albanian girls will face Israel, followed by a match against Andorra three days later. The final game for Albania will be against Belarus on March 10.
