A sudden incident occurred during the premiere of the opera “Traviata” at the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet, fortunately without any life-threatening consequences.

The premiere, starring Eva Golemi and the Italian tenor Alfredo, went smoothly until the third act. Golemi’s outstanding performance captivated the audience until the moment of the incident. During the scene in which the character Violetta dies in Alfredo’s arms, the Italian tenor, in character, forgot to catch Eva, causing her to fall on stage.

Due to the fall, the Opera Theatre called an ambulance to prevent any further physical injury, and Eva Golemi was taken to the hospital for additional checks.

Following the examinations, the soprano was found to have no serious injuries. Doctors recommended a 10-day break from performing to avoid strain.

As a result, Eva Golemi will not appear on stage for the next scheduled performances of the premiere.
