AREA SHAKEN / Explosive device detonates in a residence

An explosion involving explosive material was recorded at a house in Lezhë early this morning.

The incident occurred around 06:40 a.m. in the village of Rrilë, where an amount of explosive material detonated at the outer gate of a house owned by citizen Tom Çungu, who is temporarily residing in Italy, causing only material damage.

It is learned that no one has lived in the house for more than 20 years.

After receiving the notification, police services and the investigative team went to the scene.

Under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office, investigative actions are being carried out to fully clarify the circumstances and legally document the case, with the aim of identifying and capturing the perpetrator(s).
