Armed and with €15,000 in his car, 32-year-old arrested!

A 32-year-old man has been arrested in Tirana after being caught carrying an unlicensed firearm.

The police operation, codenamed “Last Gun,” was carried out by officers from Police Station No. 1 following operational information that a person was traveling in a vehicle and was suspected of carrying a firearm.

Police located and stopped a Citroën DS3 on “Collakët” Street, driven by 32-year-old R. V. During the search of the vehicle, officers found and seized a pistol along with ammunition.

The vehicle, two mobile phones, and €15,800 were also seized as material evidence.

The 32-year-old was arrested in flagrante for the criminal offense of “Unauthorized possession and production of firearms, explosive weapons, and ammunition.”

The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
