Armed conflict between neighbors / Two arrested and one wanted, police seize Kalashnikov and explosives

Police officers from the Criminal Investigation Unit at the Shkodër Police Station have intervened following an armed conflict that took place in the city, arresting two people and declaring another one wanted.

The incident, which is suspected to have occurred over trivial motives, also led to the seizure of an arsenal of weapons and explosive materials.

According to police, as part of investigative and procedural actions to clarify the circumstances of the conflict recorded on the evening of 25.06.2026 in the “Tre Heronjtë” neighborhood, citizens N. L., 63, and A. F., 27, both residents of Shkodër, were arrested.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the two neighbors clashed over minor disputes and fired shots at each other in order to intimidate. As a result of the gunfire, the gate of a house and a parked vehicle in the yard were damaged.

They clashed over trivial motives and used firearms to threaten each other, resulting in the arrest of 2 individuals.

One individual has been declared wanted for failure to report a crime.

A Kalashnikov-type firearm suspected to have been used in the conflict, combat ammunition, and 4 packages of suspected explosive material (TNT) were seized.

Specialists from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Shkodër Police Station, as part of investigative and procedural actions carried out to clarify the circumstances of the conflict that occurred on the evening of 25.06.2026 in the “Tre Heronjtë” neighborhood, arrested the following individuals:

N. L., 63 years old, and A. F., 27 years old, both residents of the “Tre Heronjtë” neighborhood, Shkodër.

Investigations suggest that A. F. and N. L. (neighbors) clashed over minor motives and fired weapons to threaten each other. As a result of the gunfire, the gate of N. L.’s house yard and a vehicle parked in the yard were damaged.

During a search of N. L.’s residence, police found 1 Kalashnikov-type firearm suspected to have been used in the conflict, while during a search of A. F.’s residence they found combat ammunition and 4 packages of suspected explosive material (TNT).

Further procedural actions led to the declaration of A. F., 26 years old, resident of Shkodër, as wanted, as he is suspected of being present during the conflict but failing to report it.

Work continues to apprehend him and fully document the legal circumstances of the case.

Procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor’s Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Shkodër for further action.
