ARREST in Korçë / Kept a firearm (pistol-type) and a magazine with live ammunition at home, police intervene

Korçë / Another case of illegal possession of weapons is struck.

A citizen was arrested after being found keeping a firearm in his home, having previously been convicted for the same criminal offense.

A pistol-type firearm and a magazine with live ammunition, held without a permit, were seized.

The services of the Korçë Police Commissariat, as part of ongoing efforts to crack down on illegal weapon possession, increased controls to enhance security measures and, based on information obtained through police intelligence that a citizen was in possession of an illegal firearm, organized operations to locate and identify the individual.

During a search of his residence in the village of Mborje, Korçë, a pistol-type firearm and a magazine with live ammunition were found and seized as material evidence.

At the conclusion of actions, the Crime Investigation specialists of the Korçë Police Commissariat carried out the arrest in flagrante of citizen Dh. M., a resident of Mborje, who had been previously convicted for illegal possession of weapons.

The procedural materials were referred to the Korçë Prosecution Office for further actions.
