Wanted man in Korça arrested in Neighborhood 4 / The 28-year-old was defrauding citizens and stealing in restaurants!

Korçë / Police operation “Fraud” concluded

A 28-year-old man, wanted by authorities, has been arrested in Neighborhood 4, Korçë, after defrauding six citizens by taking various sums of money and stealing 70,000 lek from a restaurant.

The Korçë Police Department, under the direction of the Korçë Prosecutor’s Office and based on intelligence regarding the location of the wanted man, organized the operation to capture him.

As part of the police operation code-named “Fraud,” the suspect, J. M., 28, resident of Korçë, was located, apprehended, and taken into custody.

He had been wanted since October 21, 2025, following complaints from several citizens who reported that he had defrauded them with various pretexts, exploiting family and social connections to obtain money.

Additionally, on November 8, 2025, in Neighborhood 7, Korçë, he entered a restaurant and stole 70,000 lek from the cash register before fleeing.

All procedural materials have been handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Korçë First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction for further action.
