A conflict between neighbors in Korçë ended today with one person injured in neighborhood number 14 of the city.

The two neighbors had previously argued over trivial matters, while today they confronted each other outside their homes, during which one of them pulled out a knife and stabbed his neighbor twice.

The alleged attacker, identified as around 50-year-old Gëzim Ramka, went to his home after the incident, where he was found and arrested by Korçë police. Preliminary information suggests that Ramka may suffer from mental health issues.

The injured person, identified as around 40-year-old Rigels Janaqi, is in the intensive care unit of the Regional Hospital of Korçë, where he is receiving medical treatment.

Around 11:30, in neighborhood no. 14, citizen G. R., around 54 years old, is suspected of having, during a conflict over weak motives, assaulted citizen R. J., around 40 years old, with a cutting tool (knife).

Citizen R. J. was transported to the hospital and is under the care of doctors. Police services have apprehended the suspected perpetrator, citizen G. R., and escorted him to the Police Station for further procedural actions.

The investigative team is working to fully clarify and document the circumstances of the incident.
