Pogradec / Operation codenamed “Fast” concluded.

Two individuals were identified, captured, and arrested after attempting to forcibly take a 17-year-old into a vehicle, physically assaulting him, and injuring him with a knife, for trivial reasons.

Immediately after receiving a report of a conflict in Neighborhood No. 3, Pogradec, the Pogradec Police Station units proceeded to the given address to prevent escalation of the conflict and to identify and apprehend those involved.

As a result of the swift actions of the police services, within the framework of the operation codenamed “Fast,” the individuals M. Xh. and A. H., who had fled the scene in a vehicle, were identified. They were apprehended and detained in cooperation with the Prrenjas Police Station services.

Investigations indicate that these two individuals attempted to forcibly take the 17-year-old into their vehicle after a conflict over trivial reasons, physically assaulted him, and injured him with a sharp object (knife) in hand. The 17-year-old received medical treatment and is out of life-threatening danger.

At the conclusion of the actions, M. Xh., 33, and A. H., 32, residents of Pogradec, were arrested in flagrante for the criminal offenses of “Unlawful deprivation of liberty,” committed in collaboration, attempted, and “Intentional minor injury,” committed in collaboration.

Procedural materials were referred to the Korçë Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
