BREAKING NEWS / 3 arrests in Korçë for attempted murder and theft. Knife fight in Neighborhood 6 in Korçë

Korçë / Authorities continue efforts to tackle illegal activities.

Three individuals have been arrested for attempted murder and theft.

During a conflict, one suspect attempted to kill a 60-year-old man with a sharp weapon. Thanks to the immediate response of the police, the suspect was apprehended and arrested right after the incident. The weapon (knife) allegedly used in the attack was confiscated.

Additionally, two theft cases in a warehouse and a residence in the city have been investigated and documented, leading to the arrest of two other suspects.

1- Police from the Korçë Commissariat, after receiving a report that a citizen had been attacked with a sharp weapon in Neighborhood 6, quickly organized and went to the address, resulting in the arrest of the suspect, B.R., 59, resident of Korçë. Investigations and video footage show that, during a minor conflict, B.R. repeatedly tried to stab the 60-year-old victim, who sustained injuries and was taken to Korçë hospital, not in life-threatening condition. The knife used was seized as evidence.

2- The same police units also arrested E.H., 18, and a 17-year-old, residents of Korçë, for “Theft” committed in collaboration. They were caught in the act in Neighborhood 17, Korçë, stealing work tools, construction and electrical materials, and accessories from a warehouse. Further checks revealed that on 03.03.2026, they had also stolen several metal tubes from the home of a 56-year-old woman in Neighborhood 7, Korçë.

All procedural materials have been referred to the Korçë Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
