Stealing “quietly” across the city, 26-year-old who was “wreaking havoc” in markets arrested

A 26-year-old man has been arrested by police in Durrës, suspected of carrying out several thefts in different businesses across the city.

According to the investigation, the young man committed three thefts on different dates: February 10, March 5, and April 9, 2026. He took products from three establishments, including markets and tobacco shops, in neighborhoods no. 1, no. 15, and no. 17.

Police were able to identify and apprehend him following reports from business owners. He is also said to have had similar issues in the past.

The police operation, codenamed “Episodes,” led to his arrest, while investigations continue to determine whether he is involved in other cases.

The case materials have been forwarded to the Durrës Prosecutor’s Office for further actions.
