Korçë Police/Case of illegal firearm possession uncovered.

A 32-year-old was caught in a bar with a pen-shaped pistol and ammunition and was arrested on the spot.

The pen-shaped pistol was seized as evidence.

As part of ongoing efforts to combat illegal firearm possession and increase security measures, Korçë Police, in cooperation with the Special Force “Shqiponja,” acted on operational information indicating that an individual possessed an unlicensed firearm. They located the suspect in a bar in Podgorie, Maliq.

During a physical search, the suspect, E. Xh., was found with a firearm resembling a pen along with ammunition, which was confiscated as material evidence.

Following the actions, specialists from the Criminal Investigation Unit of Maliq Police Station arrested E. Xh., 32, resident of Podgorie, Maliq, on the spot for the criminal offense of “Illegal possession and manufacture of firearms, explosives, and ammunition.”

Procedural materials were referred to the Korçë Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
