**BREAKING NEWS / Korçë police arrest man found carrying firearm**
Officers from the Korçë Local Police Directorate arrested a person this Monday near the intersection of Dishnicë village after receiving information that the individual was moving around with a firearm.
Police services caught the suspect in the act, and the firearm was also seized as material evidence.
According to preliminary information, the arrested person is Bilal Mullalli, a resident of Zëmblak village in Maliq. He was detained during a police operation carried out by the Korçë Local Police Directorate at the Dishnicë intersection.
Sources say Mullalli had been suspected for some time of illegally carrying a firearm, and his arrest came after operational intelligence gathered by police structures.
During the search of the vehicle, officers found and seized a pistol that the 59-year-old was carrying.
The same sources report that Mullalli has a prior criminal record. Meanwhile, police are continuing investigations to clarify the full circumstances of the case and to determine whether the weapon had been used or was intended for use in other criminal activities.
Police remain at the scene as investigations continue.
