Breaking news / Tragedy on the highway: Attempted to cross the road and lost their life

A tragic accident was recorded on the Vlorë–Fier highway, near Novoselë, where one person lost their life after being struck by a vehicle.

According to preliminary information, the victim is believed to have been attempting to cross the highway when they were hit by a vehicle traveling along the road. The impact was severe, causing critical injuries that proved fatal.

As a result of the injuries sustained, the person died at the scene. Their identity has not yet been released by authorities.

Immediately after the accident, police officers and an investigative team arrived at the scene and launched procedures to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident, as well as to identify the victim.

Investigations are ongoing, and an official statement with further details about the fatal accident is expected.
