BREAKING NEWS: Doctor Nikollaq Nunka has been arrested, accused of sexual harassment

Nikolla Nunka, a 72-year-old surgeon, has been arrested following a complaint of sexual harassment filed by a 21-year-old patient at the regional hospital of Korçë.

According to preliminary information, the young woman had been admitted to the emergency department due to severe abdominal pain and vomiting. After examinations, doctors decided she needed surgery for appendicitis.

In her complaint submitted to the police, the 21-year-old claims that during medical procedures, the surgeon touched her in intimate areas, presenting his actions as part of the medical examination.

Following the report, police took the patient’s statement and immediately began verification procedures to clarify the full circumstances of the incident.

The woman continues to receive treatment at the regional hospital of Korçë, while the 72-year-old doctor was initially escorted by police officers and later arrested as part of the ongoing investigation into the case.
