BREAKING/ Smuggling of goods, two 67-year-old drivers from Korçë face criminal proceedings!

Two cases of goods smuggling were intercepted by the Border Police.

Criminal proceedings were initiated against the two bus drivers in whose vehicles the goods were found.

As a result of thorough checks carried out based on risk analysis of the individuals and vehicles involved, Border Police services intercepted two cases of goods smuggling.

For these cases, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor’s Office, and proceedings were initiated in absentia for the criminal offense of “Smuggling of other goods” against:

* K. B., 67, and Th. G., 67, residents of Korçë, as during entry into the Republic of Albania, customs and border police officers found in the buses they were driving quantities of oil, wine, various work tools, and other products that had not been declared to the customs authorities.

The goods were seized as material evidence.

The procedural materials were referred to the Korçë Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
