Carrying a firearm, a 25-year-old is arrested; military ammunition and drugs are seized

The Special Force “Shqiponja” units at the Vlorë Police Directorate, in cooperation with the Crime Investigation Section specialists at the Vlorë Police Station, during ongoing checks targeting individuals carrying firearms and based on operational intelligence, stopped a “Benz” vehicle at the bypass roundabout in the village of Babicë e Madhe.

The vehicle was driven by F.H., 25, resident of Vlorë, with passenger D.A., 25, also from Vlorë.

During a physical search of F.H., a firearm (pistol) with a magazine containing 5 rounds was found and seized from his backpack.

Following procedural actions, a search of his residence led to the seizure of 20 rounds of military ammunition, a quantity of suspected cannabis, and a plastic mask.

Additionally, four mobile phones and the vehicle itself were seized as material evidence.

At the conclusion of procedural actions:

* F.H. was arrested for the criminal offenses of “Production and possession of weapons and ammunition without a license” and “Production and sale of narcotics.”

* D.A. was arrested for “Failure to report a crime.”

The structures of the Vlorë Police Directorate, in cooperation with the Vlorë Prosecutor’s Office, continue investigations into these individuals, including verifying any possible involvement in other criminal events.

Procedural materials were submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Vlorë First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction for further action.
