Carrying firearms, combat ammunition and narcotics in a bar, 3 people arrested

Shkodër Police have arrested three people in flagrante after a firearm, combat ammunition, and a suspected dose of cocaine were found while they were staying at a bar.

During the search, officers also seized a cigarette containing suspected cannabis sativa, which was found on one of the arrested individuals. The two 18-year-olds were arrested on charges of “Failure to Report a Crime.”

The police operation codenamed “SIGURIA” has been successfully finalized.

A pistol firearm, combat ammunition, and quantities of suspected narcotic substances, cannabis sativa and cocaine, were seized.

Three people arrested in flagrante.

As part of ongoing efforts to combat criminal activity related to illegal possession of firearms and the distribution of narcotics, and based on operational intelligence, officers of the Special Force “Shqiponja” Sector, in cooperation with other structures of the Shkodër Local Police Directorate, finalized the police operation codenamed “SIGURIA”.

As a result of this operation, the following individuals were arrested in flagrante:

E. K., 42, resident of Shkodër;

A. I., 18, resident of Shkodër;

I. A., 18, resident of London.

During a physical search of E. K., who was inside a bar in the “Vasil Shanto” neighborhood of Shkodër, police officers found and seized as material evidence a pistol firearm, combat ammunition, and a dose of suspected cocaine.

At the time of the search, E. K. was accompanied by A. I. and I. A., who were also arrested in flagrante on charges of “Failure to Report a Crime”. During the physical search of A. I., officers also found and seized a cigarette containing suspected cannabis sativa.

Procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor’s Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Shkodër for further action.
