CCTV footage released: Nursery teacher slapped a 2-year-old for crying, new details emerge

Following the arrest of a nursery teacher at a private kindergarten in Tirana accused of abusing a two-year-old child, new details about the incident have emerged.
The incident took place at a private kindergarten on Aleksandër Moisiu Street, Villa 18/3, in the former Kinostudio area. When the child's parents picked up their two-year-old and returned home, they noticed bruises on the child's cheek. They then took the child to the hospital to determine the cause of the injuries, initially believing they may have resulted from a disagreement between children.
Police later reviewed the kindergarten's CCTV footage and discovered that, at one point while the two-year-old was crying, the 32-year-old teacher approached the child and slapped him twice across the face.
After reviewing the footage, police immediately arrested the 32-year-old teacher, who had previously worked in the same profession abroad. A review of the kindergarten's Instagram and Facebook pages also showed that both accounts were taken down following the incident.
