A police operation in Kamëz has led to the arrest of two young men who were traveling armed on a motorcycle.

The operation, codenamed “Risku,” was carried out by officers of Police Station No. 5 with the aim of cracking down on individuals posing a threat to public safety.

A 23-year-old and an 18-year-old, both residents of Kamëz, were arrested.

The incident took place in the village of Çekrezë, where police signaled the motorcycle to stop. The driver did not comply and continued at high speed, but after a chase, they were stopped and arrested.

During a search of the motorcycle, police found a pistol with ammunition and a mask.

Later, at the 23-year-old’s home, two additional weapons were discovered: a hunting rifle and a sporting gun.

The passenger was arrested for failure to report a crime, while the case materials have been forwarded to the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office for further proceedings.
