Collision between two cars, police officer draws his gun during the fight

A car accident was recorded this evening near the village of Ibë, involving two vehicles.

According to preliminary information, one of the vehicles was being driven by an officer of the Albanian State Police. After the collision, the situation became tense and escalated into a physical altercation between the individuals involved in the incident.

Preliminary sources indicate that during the confrontation, the police officer is suspected of drawing his service weapon, though he did not use it.

Due to the involvement of a police officer in the incident, the investigation into fully clarifying the circumstances has been handed over to the Police Oversight Agency, which is expected to verify the officer’s actions.

Meanwhile, authorities are investigating both the causes of the accident and the sequence of events surrounding the conflict that followed the collision between the two vehicles.
