The rise in tensions between the United States and Iran has immediately been reflected in energy markets, leading to a significant increase in fuel prices in the United States.
According to data published by AAA, the average price of a gallon of regular gasoline has reached $4.45.
In just the past week, the price has increased by 34 cents, while compared to the end of February, the total increase reaches $1.47 per gallon, which translates to about 49.3%.
Experts link this increase to the uncertainties affecting global markets following the escalation of the conflict. Fears of supply disruptions and instability in key oil-producing regions have directly impacted prices.
