Criminal proceedings opened for illegal transport of timber in Devoll

Following the work of the Korçë Local Directorate for Border and Migration Services, materials have been referred to the Prosecutor’s Office, initiating criminal proceedings against E.M., 36 years old, resident of the village Miras, Devoll, for the criminal offense of “Illegal logging.”

The individual was caught by Border Police services on the Miras–Bilisht road axis while transporting 6 cubic meters of timber cut illegally. Both the vehicle and the timber were seized as material evidence.

Procedural materials have been submitted to the Korçë Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
