Denmark shocked as Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen attacked in the street, assailant arrested

Denmark was shaken on Friday evening by an act of violence against Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, who was attacked in the street in Copenhagen.
She was entering one of the supermarkets in Kultorvet Square, in the heart of the city, when a man approached and punched her. Media reports indicate that the attacker was immediately restrained and arrested. The Prime Minister, whose life is not in danger, said she was "shocked" by the incident.
The office of Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen made no further statements on the matter, while the police in the Danish capital confirmed the incident but had no additional comments.
