Dori will seek justice. The family of Alban Hoxha’s wife demands clarification of her death after 11 years

It has been a full 11 years that the Haka family has lived with the deep pain of losing their daughter, Doriana Haka – the wife of the well-known goalkeeper Alban Hoxha – who passed away just two weeks after giving birth to their son. Today, more than a decade later, the family continues to seek justice for a loss that, according to them, resulted from medical negligence.

In a recent court session, in the presence of forensic experts, Doriana’s mother, Hamide Haka, could not contain her emotions.

“My soul is burning, my heart aches. I’ve been waiting 11 years for justice. My Dori will get justice. A child growing up without a mother deserves justice. Please, judge, look at me. I am right – that’s why I’ve sought justice, not revenge,” she said through tears.

She added that although justice has been delayed, hope for clarity in the case has not vanished.

“I hope for justice, even if delayed, but not forgotten.”

Enver Haka, Doriana’s father, also accused the judicial system of endless delays and emphasized that the family will never stop trying to uncover the truth.

“We have endured 11 difficult, exhausting years, filled with pain and injustice. We will continue until the end,” he stated.

The tragic event that shocked the public in 2012 remains largely unresolved, and the long-awaited court decision is eagerly anticipated by both the family and the public.
