“What doesn’t match in the testimonies about the Manzë murder – investigators reveal new details after long hours of questioning.

Details of the bloody conflict in Manzë have emerged, with four young people arrested – the suspected killer and an accomplice remain at large.

Durrës – In-depth investigations by the Durrës Police and Prosecutor’s Office have clarified the dynamics of the serious incident that occurred in the early hours of October 22 in the village of Manzë, where, over a trivial dispute, two young people lost their lives.

According to official data, four individuals involved in the incident have been arrested for failing to report a crime: Ergi Kadiu (21), Erald Cani (25), Taulant Beqja (37), and Emirjan Beqja (34), all residents of Manzë.

Meanwhile, authorities have identified and issued warrants for two people:

– Daniel Pepa (21), resident of Manzë, suspected of intentional homicide and illegal possession of firearms;

– Gëzim Allçi (30), resident of Manzë, accused of aiding the perpetrator, illegal possession of firearms, and failure to report a crime.

How the incident happened

Preliminary investigations indicate that Daniel Pepa entered a café near a gas station in Manzë, where he verbally clashed with the waiter and with Flori Paluçi (33), who was in the café with several others, including Erald Cani.

After the argument, Pepa left by car but returned a few minutes later with Aranit Kurti (23) and Ergi Kadiu.

During the attempt to re-enter the café, Flori Paluçi went outside and is suspected to have fired a shot into the ground. At that moment, Daniel Pepa allegedly shot at Paluçi, injuring him, while Paluçi fired back at Pepa and Kurti, who were facing him. In this armed confrontation, Flori Paluçi and Aranit Kurti were killed, while Pepa immediately fled the scene.

Investigators suspect that Gëzim Allçi helped Pepa escape after the incident.

Ongoing investigations

The Durrës Police have organized intensive operations to capture Daniel Pepa and Gëzim Allçi, while additional evidence is being collected to fully document the criminal responsibilities of those involved.

Procedural materials have been handed over to the Durrës Prosecutor’s Office for further investigative actions.
