Drugs and a phone found in Drenova prison, suspected to belong to Laert Haxhiu

A phone and drugs have been found in Drenova prison.

It was reported that about a week ago, a search was conducted at the Drenova High Security Prison (IEVP Drenovë), during which a small amount of cannabis sativa was found in Building B of the detention area.

Additionally, a phone was discovered in the cell of an inmate with the initials Xh.L, in high-security custody, which is suspected to belong to Laert Haxhiu.

The drugs and the phone have now been seized, and the phone will undergo forensic examination to check for conversations and to confirm whether it indeed belongs to inmate Haxhiu.

This is not the first time a phone has been found with this inmate; in June, four phones belonging to Haxhiu were also seized. The prosecution continues to investigate in order to clarify all circumstances and identify how and who was involved in bringing the drugs and phone into Drenova prison.
