He attempted to traffic cannabis seeds into Albania and was arrested in flagrante by Border Police services, the 24-year-old.
Around 3,250 cannabis seeds, equipment suspected of being used for cultivating narcotic plants, and the van used in the attempted trafficking were seized.
The Border Police services at the Port of Durrës, as a result of intensified checks at entry/exit points based on risk analysis and operational information, organized and finalized in cooperation with specialists from the Narcotics Investigation Sector of the Durrës Local Police Directorate, the operation codenamed “Prevention 2.”
As a result of the operation, the 24-year-old A. K., resident of Tirana, was arrested in flagrante for the criminal offense of “Drug trafficking.”
During a physical search of the individual and inspection of the van entering the territory of the Republic of Albania, police services found several bags containing approximately 3,250 suspected cannabis sativa seeds and equipment believed to be used for cultivating narcotic plants.
The procedural materials were forwarded to the Durrës Prosecutor’s Office for further actions.
