After failing to win the league title and facing the risk of missing out on the Champions League, Milan’s management is preparing significant changes in the club’s leadership structure.
Owner Gerry Cardinale appears determined to carry out a deep reorganization, while the departure of sporting director Igli Tare is considered almost certain. The most discussed candidate to replace him is Tony D’Amico, currently with Atalanta.
According to Italian media, Cardinale held a meeting in London on Thursday with CEO Giorgio Furlani, Zlatan Ibrahimović, board member Massimo Calvelli, and brand director Francesca Montini, where scenarios for the club’s future were discussed.
Sources close to Milan report that Furlani’s position is also under review, while Massimo Calvelli could take on a more significant role in the club’s administrative leadership.
Changes are also expected regarding Zlatan Ibrahimović, whose role may shift toward a more strategic function. Although less in the spotlight this season, the Swede remains one of Cardinale’s closest and most trusted figures.
Final decisions are expected after the end of the season, but recent developments suggest that Milan is preparing for a major transformation in its leadership, aiming to return among Europe’s elite clubs.
