On the morning of Eid al-Adha hundreds of Muslim worshippers from Korçë and surrounding villages gathered at the historic Iljaz Bej Mirahori Mosque to perform the Eid prayer. The square was filled with believers who, from 6:00 AM, listened to the sermon delivered by Mufti Ledian Cikalleshi, emphasizing the significance of sacrifice and unity in Islam.

Among the attendees was Rani Lekaj, an elderly blind woman who shared her poignant story. Blind since childhood, she recounted how, during the communist regime in Albania—when religious practices were banned—she continued to pray in secrecy, guided by her deep faith instilled by her devout father. She expressed that, despite the challenges, she has remained steadfast in her beliefs and continues to pray regularly at the mosque.

Her testimony serves as a powerful reminder of the resilience of faith and the enduring spirit of those who, even in the face of adversity, hold onto their beliefs. The celebration of Kurban Bajrami in Korçë not only marks a significant religious occasion but also highlights the community's commitment to preserving their spiritual heritage.
