Emanuela Rusta, a referee in the Albanian Superiore Football League, has been selected by FIFA to participate in the international seminar for referees who will officiate at the FIFA World Cup 2026.
During the seminar, referees will undergo multiple evaluations, including technical knowledge, skills in using the VAR system, physical preparation, and decision-making under pressure.
Performance in these assessments will be decisive for the selection of referees who may be appointed to officiate at the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Rusta’s selection is considered an important achievement for Albanian refereeing on the international stage.
