“Fan S. Noli” University moves toward launching a new scientific master’s in agriculture, tourism, and geography – Consultation roundtable with local stakeholders

A consultation roundtable is currently taking place at “Fan S. Noli” University in Korçë, bringing together representatives from local government, businesses, and academic institutions, as part of the launch of a new scientific master’s program in agriculture, tourism, and geography.


This event aims to build bridges of cooperation between the university and the local community, in order to ensure a study program that is oriented toward the real needs of the labor market and regional development.


The vice rector for teaching, assoc. prof. dr. Lorena Zeqo, in her welcoming speech, thanked the participants for their presence and valuable contributions:


“The discussions, ideas, and insights shared today are essential to building a successful, sustainable program that aligns with the developments of our time.”

The roundtable has gathered representatives from local institutions such as the Korçë Regional Council, Devoll Municipality, local businesses operating in the fields of tourism and agriculture, as well as academic staff from various university departments.


Active participants in this open discussion include:

  • Department of Foreign Languages – UNIKO

  • Department of History and Geography

  • Faculty of Economics

  • Department of Education

  • Student Career and Alumni Office

  • University Scientific Library


This consultation process is part of a broader vision for the development of new academic programs that respond to the specific needs of the region.
