Fight among young people in a bar, gunfire reported

A fight among young people in a bar in Vlorë escalated to the use of a firearm. According to police, several individuals were involved in a conflict outside the bar, and one of them was carrying a gun.

During the altercation, a 25-year-old took the firearm from his friend, 19-year-old A. H., and fired a shot into the air.

The young men were arrested in the “Uji i Ftohtë” neighborhood of Vlorë.

A potential criminal incident with life-threatening consequences was prevented thanks to the immediate response of the police.

Two individuals were apprehended, one of whom fired a gun into the air during the conflict.

The Vlorë Police Commissariat intervened immediately after receiving reports that several people were fighting outside a bar and that one of them was armed, preventing the conflict from escalating further. The two arrested individuals are:

A. H., 19 years old, resident of Vlorë

M. A., 25 years old, resident of Orikum

The arrest occurred after M. A. took a pistol from his friend A. H. during a physical altercation outside the bar in the “Uji i Ftohtë” neighborhood and fired once into the air.

Thanks to the prompt intervention of police patrols, both individuals were neutralized and apprehended, and the firearm was recovered and seized.

Procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Vlorë First Instance Court for the criminal offenses of “Disturbing public order” and “Unlawful possession and manufacturing of weapons, explosive devices, and ammunition.”
