A family of five in the village of Trebinjë, Pogradec, was left homeless after a fire engulfed their home on Monday evening. As a result, the entire house, along with all furniture and personal belongings, was completely destroyed. Despite the efforts of firefighters and residents from the 'Qosollë' neighborhood, the home burned down entirely. Fortunately, no injuries were reported from the massive blaze.

Agron Qose, the head of the household, recounted that everything started with a crackling sound from the roof, likely due to an electrical spark, and within seconds the entire house was in flames.

"Around 4 o’clock, my wife and I were inside the house. We heard a crackling sound, but didn’t think much of it—until a neighbor shouted, ‘Get out, the house is on fire!’ Within five minutes, the roof collapsed, the ceilings fell, and we couldn’t save anything. The firefighters came, but they couldn’t do much. One of them even got injured while trying to put out the flames because he fell during the operation," said Qose.

With all five family members now without shelter, their only hope lies with the government, as they had invested all their life savings into building the home. The Mayor of Pogradec, Ilir Xhakolli, visited the family and promised that the municipality will make all legal efforts to help rebuild the destroyed house.

“Agron, thankfully there were no injuries to people or livestock. That’s why I’m here today with the emergency team—we’ll document the damage, and within the legal framework, we will do our best to help you rebuild. I wish you all the best, and may God give you health. Everything else can be fixed,” said Xhakolli.

Currently, the Qose family is being sheltered by relatives in the village, but they are in urgent need of clothing and basic food supplies.
