FRIGHTENING / A 6.1 magnitude earthquake strikes this country!

A strong earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale struck off the coast of Sumatra in Indonesia, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

The earthquake occurred in a region that frequently experiences seismic activity due to its location along the Pacific “Ring of Fire,” where several tectonic plates meet.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
