A tragic piece of news has struck the football club KF Tirana. The daughter of footballer Freddy Alvarez has tragically passed away in the early hours of this morning in Tirana.

The white and blue club reacted through an official statement, expressing deep sorrow and solidarity with the player and his family during this difficult time.

“With deep pain, we share the news that the daughter of our player, Freddy Alvarez, has tragically passed away in the early hours of this morning in Tirana. Our entire club is shocked and in mourning, standing by Freddy and his family in this very difficult moment.

Our most sincere condolences go out to the Alvarez family. May she rest in peace,” the club’s statement reads.

As of now, there is no official information regarding the circumstances or cause of the young girl’s death, while the family is currently living in the capital.

Freddy Alvarez, an attacking midfielder from Costa Rica, officially joined KF Tirana during the January 2026 transfer window. After signing his contract and completing medical examinations, he immediately integrated with the team under coach Nuhiu, taking part in three matches in the Cup and the championship.
