A serious incident was recorded in Tirana, where a 60-year-old man lost his life inside a medical laboratory on “Reshit Petrela” street.

According to preliminary information, the man with the initials H.M. had entered the laboratory to undergo some routine tests, but suddenly felt unwell while waiting and passed away on the spot.

Official sources state that the incident occurred inside the laboratory premises, the name of which has not been made public by authorities. Immediately after the situation was identified, the police and relevant services were notified and arrived at the scene to carry out the initial investigative actions.

According to the police’s preliminary statement, the suspected cause of death of the 60-year-old is cardiac arrest.

However, authorities emphasize that the full circumstances of the incident will be clarified after all necessary verifications and forensic medical examinations are completed. The body is expected to undergo the relevant procedures to accurately determine the cause of death.

“In a medical laboratory on ‘Reshit Petrela’ street, citizen H.M., 60 years old, lost his life while waiting to undergo medical tests.

Preliminarily, it is suspected that the loss of life came as a result of cardiac arrest,” the official statement reads.

The procedural materials have been referred to the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office, which will continue with further actions to fully clarify this serious incident.
