International drug manhunt: 35-year-old trafficker arrested

It has been reported that the 35-year-old was arrested on behalf of Italian authorities, as he is accused of being a member of a criminal drug trafficking organization.

The Criminal Court of Perugia, Italy, has ordered pre-trial detention for him on charges of “Criminal Organization” and “Drug Trafficking.”

Albanian authorities are working on extraditing the 35-year-old to the neighboring country.

Tirana / Police operation “Perugia” concludes.

Accused in Italy as a member of a criminal organization involved in drug trafficking, the 35-year-old was located in Tirana and arrested for extradition purposes.

The Special Force Sector “Shqiponja,” in cooperation with the Narcotics Investigation Section, and based on information exchanged with Interpol Tirana regarding the whereabouts of an internationally wanted individual, located him on “Dritan Hoxha” street and provisionally arrested him for extradition to Italy.

The arrested individual is:

* A.S., 35, resident of Tirana.

This person was internationally wanted, as the Criminal Court of Perugia, Italy, had issued a pre-trial detention order for the offenses of “Criminal Organization” and “Drug Trafficking.”

Interpol Tirana continues procedural actions, in cooperation with Interpol Rome, for the extradition of this individual to Italy, the police report states.
