It’s not a movie scene, a woman has actually married a character she created with Artificial Intelligence!

A 32-year-old Japanese woman named Kano recently held a symbolic wedding ceremony with an AI character called Klaus, whom she created using ChatGPT.

The wedding took place in the city of Okayama in a traditional setting, organized by a company specialized in “2D character weddings” for people who marry virtual or fictional partners.

During the ceremony, Kano wore AR glasses that projected a life-sized image of Klaus beside her as they exchanged rings. Her story with Klaus began after a difficult breakup.

Kano then began using ChatGPT for comfort and emotional support, engaging in conversations up to 100 times a day. She customized the AI’s personality and tone according to her preferences, and over time developed romantic feelings for Klaus.
