Trump: The United States will block the Strait of Hormuz due to Iran’s nuclear ambitions

President Donald Trump has stated that the United States will begin “blocking every vessel attempting to enter or exit the Strait of Hormuz.”

In a lengthy post on the Truth Social platform, he said the meeting went well and that they reached agreement on most points. Trump emphasized that the only issue that truly mattered, on which they did not reach consensus, was the nuclear one.

Trump added that “at some point” an agreement on free passage will be reached, but according to him, Iran has hindered this by claiming that “there may be mines somewhere,” which only they are aware of.

He also stressed that he has ordered the U.S. Navy to stop and inspect every ship in international waters that has paid a fee to Iran, as well as to begin destroying mines placed in the Strait.

“No one who pays an illegal fee will have safe passage on the high seas. The blockade will begin soon,” he said, warning that any attack on U.S. forces or civilian ships will be met with a harsh response.
